Change is an inevitable process of life. I've noticed my hair has gotten grayer, my speed in the 40 has slowed considerably, and it takes me longer to understand the current fads and trends, like silly bands.
At the UC Parent meeting the other night, I showed a couple videos that illustrated the rapid change which has occurred in both technology and demographics in the world culture in the last few years. What is amazing to me is how fast the change process now is compared with even 100 years ago.
Several have asked for links to these videos, so I have provided them here. As a caveat, I can not verify all the uses of statistics to promote particular viewpoints. I am convinced, however, that these reminders should serve as a wake up call, in order that we can re-examine if what we are doing in Christian education is keeping up with the changing world that we live in, so that our students will be competent leaders of excellence who glorify God.
