Congratulations to our spellers who represented BLS at the ACSI disctrict meet on Friday, January 14th. Hosted by CCA, nine schools from across Kansas & Missourri were represented.
Michael Lowry placed 4th in the Third Grade Division
Steven Kurtzweil placed 2nd in the Fourth Grade Division
Liz Hoffman placed 2nd in the Fifth Grade Division
Autumn Ramos tied for 6th in the Sixth Grade Division
Sofia Hildago tied for 6th in the Seventh Grade Division
Drew McCloud placed 2nd in the Eighth Grade Division
Since both Liz and Drew placed 2nd in their upper grade levels, they were extended invitations to participate in the Kansas / Missouri District Spell Off held Friday afternoon, along with six other students.
Liz tied for 6th place overall for the entire meet.
Drew placed 3rd!
Congratulations to Drew McCloud -- as 1 of the top 4 spellers in the KS/MO district and the top speller of all Christian schools in the Wichita area, he will be representing Bethel Life School at the South Central United States Regional Spelling Bee to be held in Dallas, TX on March 12th.
