Parents!
It has been a privilege to serve you and your students this year! It’s hard to believe that the first semester is over and the second is well under way. I am excited about the direction we are headed and the state of Christian education in the greater Wichita area. Bethel Life School is at the leading edge of what God is doing!
Over the past year, the various Christian school leaders have begun to get together, passionately discussing what wewould like to see for the city. That has developed into the Wichita Area Christian School Association. While our sports teams may be rivals, we share a common mission – the desire to see young men and women learn to serve Jesus through formal Christian education.
We have begun the multi-year process of transforming the governance of the school to rely less upon Bethel Life church board members and to include parents of current students, local businessman, and area pastors. Our new Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) includes Jason Ballah, Dorothy Kahihikolo, LoriReddoch-Quist, Maejean Hammar, Paul Kurtzweil, and Brenda Harvey-Smith. As part of that process, we are announcing our first Open School Board meeting– January 30th at 7 PM in the choir room.
The School Administrative Committee met on Monday evening and approved the tuition rates for the 2012-13 school year. While costs have risen, our tuition remains a competitive value for a quality product --the average tuition price has risen less than 2.5%. We understand that Christian education is a sacrifice for many parents and we are sensitive to your budgets. We are also working on streamlining the cumbersome re-registration process to make it convenient for you.
