New Enrichment Classes - Spring Term

Culinary Arts Club
Led by Mrs. Powers
1st and 2nd grade
Thursday afternoons
3:20 - 4:00

The Culinary Arts Club will allow students to explore different healthy foods to make in less than 30 minutes.  We will create a variety of  foods to make for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.  These recipes will be simple for students to make at home as well.  Students will be measuring and learning the basic skills of baking and cooking.  Also, we will discuss about safety in the kitchen.  Have your child bring an apron or an old shirt because we will be a little messy at times.  The Culinary Arts Club will meet several Kansas State Standards in the areas of math and science.

The cost of the club is $10 per student to help purchase the food we will be making.  Students enrolled in the Annual Kings Care Program are free.

This is a limited sized (maximum of 12 students) enrichment elective.
